DESCRIPTION OVERVIEW

Located in our Dublin, Ireland corporate headquarters, the Sourcing Manager will report into the Associate Director CSCI External finished Good and will be the primary commercial liaison between Perrigo and the Category supply base. The Global Procurement goal is to provide Best-In-Class (Quality/Cost/Service) global sourcing for all procured materials.
This position is responsible for the delivery of Category Sourcing strategy, product and commercial service in contract manufacturing partners, supporting our consumer branded and healthcare business in Europe. The successful candidate will be able to appraise and improve our sourcing activities by analyzing the company’s spending, supplying partnerships and new possibilities.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) or equivalent experience
  • A minimum 5 years proven work experience as a sourcing manager or procurement manager in the pharma industry, in the past five years.
  • Must be able to work across all functions and levels of an organization, as well as in a global, culturally diverse environment
  • Superior negotiating skills at executive management level
  • Experience working with Contract Manufacturing or OEM.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements associated with pharmaceutical products.
  • Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management in SAP / Ariba or similar
  • Ability to negotiate and sustain networking relationships
  • Attention to detail, comfortable with figures and in collecting, analyzing and interpreting data
  • BA/BS degree
  • CIPS qualification is desirable but not essential

Responsibilities:

Manage an external contract manufacturing supply portfolio

  • Generate and implement efficient sourcing and category management strategies
  • Analyze and calculate costs of procurement and suggest methods to decrease expenditure
  • Engage with the business to understand their requirements and source vendors preemptively
  • Research and anticipate shifts in the negotiating power of suppliers
  • Perform cost and scenario analysis, benchmarking and tendering
  • Estimate risks and apply risk minimizing techniques
  • Understand how to negotiate, write, and execute a contract
  • Ability to create and maintain tools across Excel, Power BI and present on Power Point
  • Optimize sourcing procedures to attain maximum efficiency
  • Cooperate with internal stakeholders to guarantee agreement on terms and processes
  • Discover and partner with trustworthy vendors and suppliers
  • Determine quantity and timing of deliveries and monitor forecasts
  • Driving a “culture of quality” with in-scope suppliers
