We are looking for an immediate, full-time, permanent position in EMEA at Belgium, Brussels, Diegem.
EDUCATION LEVEL AND PROFESSIONAL SKILLS:
- Master or Bachelor’s degree level studies.
- High level of negotiation skills
- Very good knowledge of English, both written and spoken
- Knowledge of Dutch, both written and spoken
- Confident handling of the standard software MS-Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint), MS Teams
- Able to quickly learn and use DPDHL purchasing systems where required (GeT, GoSave and GoSource)
- Good technical and market knowledge especially in the area of the assigned categories

Responsibilities:
JOB PURPOSE:
DHL is seeking a Sourcing Manager for their Air Capacity Sales (ACS) business to join the Corporate Procurement team. The role is based in Brussels, Belgium. The Sourcing Manager for this category serves in a pivotal role being responsible for managing international sourcing events enabling to the business scale rapidly. Works closely with ACS business and procurement teams to ensure identify and recommend ´best in class´ suppliers and maintain good practices. Prepares and leads supplier negotiations per ACS territory. Further supporting the development of the global category strategy and drive the (X-) regional category strategy implementation with global scope
The ACS sourcing scope mainly includes following categories:
- Trucking
- Ground Handling (GHA)
- Sales commissioning (GSA)
YOUR TASKS:
- Manage international Sourcing-Events (RFI, RFQ, RFP) in the sourcing domain of ACS, following the Corporate Procurement sourcing process
- Provide professional sourcing support for key business initiatives, supply market research / intelligence to support business decisions in investments and budgets and establishment of local or X-regional frame contracts. Identification of strategic sourcing opportunities and development and management of strategic suppliers is a key
- Integrate Procurement services at X-regional / local level for the ACS business.
- Cooperation and professional knowledge exchange with divisional colleagues (especially EXP ACS and GBS Procurement) and vendors within and outside the company, building a strong understanding of priorities and the strategic direction
- Enable speed to market for strategic projects utilizing fast track sourcing
- Plan, prepare and manage complex negotiations.
- Specialize in strategic sourcing of goods and services and transportation capacities in order to reduce costs and ensure quality and supply as needed by the ACS business
- Support negotiations with both new vendors and existing vendors for mid – high volume initiatives, potentially enabled by Master data/AI negotiation techniques
- Support of ACS business with knowledge and handling of proof of concept’s for strategic sourcing projects
- Continuous analysis of the existing portfolio and challenge of agreements to maximize the value we receive from our partners
- Close cooperation with active participation in global activities and strong support to ACS leadership as well as collaborating with the current ACS Senior Sourcing Manager
- Develop lasting partnerships with traditional suppliers and startups
- Deep understanding of the air cargo business as well as market and trends of the specific categories
- Supports the sourcing process design and implementation for ACS in close alignment with the Business Process team in GBS Procurement; fuels the design of the Procurement process framework with agreed compliance requirements and ACS business requirements to underpin IT solution enabling.
- Resolves local procurement design issues, also during implementation of new projects, and makes sure that all projects and processes implemented follow the global process design
- Guides the introduction of new procurement processes and systems into the ACS organization and maintains Procurement related knowledge by training and education
- Pro-actively checks and improves the effective and efficient use of the implemented Procurement processes and tools by the various ACS sites
- Conducts regular reviews to gauge effectiveness of the procurement governance regime
