What the job looks like

Each day you´ll enjoy a variety of challenges, such as:

  • Being a pro-active member of the local Site Leadership Team (SLT), contributing to meetings, workshops & projects, acting as the central point of contact between Global Procurement and the site stakeholder.
  • Managing Facility Management spend and procurement activities (soft / hard services) and other local Non-Production Related Procurement topics (e.g. CAPEX) in alignment with the Procurement Lead, while leading and managing the Site Buyer with the assigned areas.
  • Leading the tactical procurement part within the “Source to Contract” (S2C) process, such as e.g. executing RfQs, negotiating and contracting, mainly for above mentioned areas and/or Packaging Materials.
  • Taking responsibility for assigned spend areas, led by the professional guidance of procurement leads, supporting the development and execution of the respective strategies and conducting operational supplier performance management
  • Evaluating demand requirements raised by sites, informing, escalating and discussing requirements with procurement leads and global procurement teams, while also conducting analysis / reports to identify bundling effects, framework contracts etc.
  • Implementing procurement awareness amongst all relevant stakeholders, monitors and reports on spend, ensures accuracy of purchase orders in coordination with the Procurement Center and ensuring compliance to standard processes, including document management and supporting vendor due diligence process and master data management for vendors.
  • Contributing on change and continuous improvement initiatives for optimization of Global Procurement and the spend categories to increase efficiency and reduce costs and actively contributes to the achievement of the company’s ESG targets.

  • A University Degree in relevant field
  • Relevant practical experience with at least 3-5 years in a comparable role in a state-of-the-art procurement organization, ideally combined with experience having worked at or for a production site.
  • Practical expertise in procurement processes and in supporting to develop & implement category strategies
  • Experience in managing and conducting negotiations as well as in supplier relationship management activities
  • Understanding of supply markets and experience in working without formal line management (e.g. Project teams)
  • Passion about continuous improvement, driving new topics & being part of new initiatives, excellent strategic and analytical thinking as well as strong interpersonal understanding & communication skills
  • Understanding and experience in the area of Supplier Risk Management and Sustainability / ESG would be a plus
  • Stakeholder management, business acumen & networking skills and ability to inspire and motivate others
  • Fluent business Spanish and English
