Are you ready to make an impact? We’re seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sourcing Officer to join our team at WesTrac. As a key player in our organisation, you’ll contribute to the effective management of external spend for goods and services, ensuring smooth operations and cost-effective solutions.
Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, the Sourcing Officer will play a pivotal role in our success. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, source suppliers, negotiate prices, and manage supplier relationships. Your expertise in SAP and Ariba systems will be essential for effective performance.
This is a full-time permanent opportunity based at our office in Tomago.

Responsibilities:

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify procurement needs and source suppliers.
  • Lead pricing negotiations for cost-effective solutions.
  • Enforce adherence to procurement policies and ethical standards.
  • Guide internal stakeholders and resolve inquiries promptly.
  • Maintain accurate supplier records and update master data.
  • Utilise SAP and Ariba modules for catalogues, orders, and reporting.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THE ROLE YOU WILL HAVE:

  • Tertiary degree or working towards in business or commerce or similar.
  • Experience in a professional role, with exposure to functions of sourcing, logistics, procurement, or wholistic supply chain management
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and interpersonal), including consultation, negotiation and facilitation skills to effectively liaise with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Advanced computer skills, with proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office and SAP/Ariba
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, ability to analyse problems and provide appropriate solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage fluctuating workloads and conflicting priorities to achieve tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work successfully within a team and autonomously.
