CABANA IS THE HOME OF THE MIGHTY FLAME-GRILLED SPICY MALAGUETA CHICKEN! OUR RESTAURANTS ARE LATIN AMERICAN INSPIRED KNOWN FOR FABULOUS GRILLS AND COCKTAILS DELIVERED IN A VIBRANT, BUZZING ATMOSPHERE!

We are ideally looking for an Sous Chef who:

  • Deliver our core focus; To lift people’s spirits & create memorable experiences
  • Prepare and cook dishes ensuring consistent quality and presentation of all dishes, maintaining high standards
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of kitchen staff to ensure efficient and effective food preparation
  • Manage the kitchen in the Head Chef’s absence ensuring seamless standards and operations
  • Support with stock; completing stock counts, monitor stock levels, manage wastage, order stock as needed to maintain efficient kitchen operations. Assist in the receiving and proper storage of deliveries, ensuring quality and freshness. Monitor food stock levels and report any shortages or issues promptly
  • Train, mentor, and motivate kitchen staff, providing guidance and feedback to improve performance
  • Manage and oversee a designated section of the kitchen, ensuring all dishes are prepared to specification
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to strict hygiene and safety standards
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and health and safety regulations, conducting regular inspections and maintaining accurate records
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive and collaborative team environment
  • Handle customer feedback and special requests, ensuring a positive dining experience for all guests
  • Maintain operate and care for kitchen equipment safely, reporting any maintenance or repair needs promptly
  • Adhere to portion control guidelines to minimize waste and optimize cost efficiency
  • Are available full time and flexible to work evenings, weekends, and most holidays
  • Have a good personality and a positive and enthusiastic attitude
  • Is consistent and reliable and an excellent team player
