Job Introduction
Sodexo Live! is looking for a talented Sous Chef with a passion for culinary excellence and innovation to join our team at one of Nottingham’s most prestigious venues.
Working with the Executive Head Chef and Head Chef you will drive the venues culinary delivery, ensuring our client’s expectations are always exceeded.
Your responsibilities will include developing food offer strategies aligned with consumer needs and market trends as well as driving innovation, whilst ensuring food safety compliance.
You will be involved in creating, testing, and presenting exciting menu designs at client tastings and you will be able to speak passionately about each dish.
You will ensure that the venue remains ahead of the market in understanding and delivering creative and relevant innovation.
You will be a creative and collaborative sous chef who can work with the organisation across departments, including marketing and operations to ensure the delivery of a first-class customer service.

Responsibilities:

  • Delivery of consistent levels of service, within the Company’s standards, to support contract specifications, service offer and agreed performance, qualitative and financial targets
  • Compliance to company and statutory regulations relating to safe systems of work, health and safety, hygiene, cleanliness, fire and COSHH
  • Development of supplier relationships to support the business strategy
  • Development and succession planning of culinary talent
  • Specifically to ensure that the venue remains ahead of the market in understanding and delivering creative and relevant innovation
  • Present each menu design at relevant client tastings and be able to speak passionately about each dish
  • Working with internal departments such as Marketing and Operations to define the offers that the business requires
