Description:
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- NVQ Level 3 in Food Hygiene or higher essential, and NVQ Level 2 or higher in Professional Cookery highly desirable.
- 2 years’ experience as Junior Sous Chef OR 1 years’ experience as Sous Chef; hotel or large-scale catering background desirable.
- Full understanding of UK food production laws & requirements.
- Fluent English.
- Fish monger & butchery.
- Punctual, with a willingness to learn.

SUMMARY OF ROLE
We have an exciting opportunity for a Sous Chef to join our Kitchens team at The London Clinic, based at our main site in London (W1G 6BW). We are offering a competitive inclusive salary range of £38,946 to £42,435 per annum.

As the Sous Chef, you will be responsible for supporting the Head Chef and Senior Sous Chef in the comprehensive management of all aspects of the kitchen operation, working towards building a team infrastructure which profitably delivers a world class food product on consistent basis. You will responsibly for supporting in the delivery of consistently high-quality food and monitoring stock rotation, ensuring that items not meeting standards are not accepted or served.
- Job Type: Permeant, Full Time.
- Shift Pattern: 40 hrs per week, straight shifts, Mon-Sun rota.
- Job Location: 20 Devonshire Place, London, W1G 6 BW.
- Salary: £38,946 to £42,435 per annum.

Key Duties:
- Ensure the safe and correct production of food for all service operations as required as instructed by the head chef / senior sous chef
- Report to the head chef / senior sous chef and maintain total responsibility for the day to day running of the kitchen and other catering outlets
- Coordinates all daily tasks with the Head chef and senior sous chef.
- Provide a full handover for each shift in the format chosen and implemented by the head chef / senior sous with no deviation.
- Supervise the junior cooks to aid their development and ensure the standards set are met
