Description:

OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. As a vital part of the kitchen, you will assist in the preparation and cooking of high-quality dishes while ensuring that food safety standards are met. This role is perfect for individuals looking to develop their culinary skills in a fast-paced restaurant environment, where teamwork and leadership are essential.
Accomodation is available for this role. Salary negotiable dependant on requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in a kitchen or pub restaurant setting is essential; a strong desire to learn is key.
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is highly desirable.
  • Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership qualities, with an eagerness to help others develop their skills.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
    Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
    Pay: From £12.50 per hour
    Expected hours: 25 – 50 per week

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the senior chef in the preparation of ingredients and cooking of dishes according to established recipes.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen, ensuring all workstations are tidy and well-stocked.
  • Follow food safety and hygiene regulations to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness are upheld.
  • Help supervise junior kitchen staff, providing guidance and support as needed to foster a collaborative team environment.
  • Participate in menu planning and contribute creative ideas for new dishes.
  • Assist with inventory management, including ordering supplies and monitoring stock levels.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely service during busy periods.
