Description:
At UConn Health, the Center for Regenerative Medicine & Skeletal seeks to hire a Special Payroll Assistant 1.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Teams
- Ability to work independently, stay on task and complete deliverables on time
- Strong organizational skills and follow through
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proficiency with lab math such as concentration and dilution calculations
- Previous experience using a digital pH meter
- Previous experience performing basic protocols such as bacterial cultures, DNA isolation, RNA isolation, gel electrophoresis or microscopy
Schedule: 8 hours per week, flexibilty needed based on research needs
Responsibilities:
- Keeping an up to date inventory of consumables and reagents
- Restocking consumable materials and reagents
- Notifying PI when stocks are low and need reorder
- Washing laboratory glassware
- Autoclaving solutions and reusable materials
- Following protocols to make buffers and solutions including PHing
- Contributing to overall organization of laboratory physical space and online collaborative platform
