Description:

At UConn Health, a grant funded, Special Payroll Research Assistant is being recruited for the Laboratory for Innovative Microtechnologies & Biomechanics (LIMB) located in the SDM/Department of Biomedical Engineering.
LIMB focuses on the translational strategies for regenerative medicine and food biomanufacturing. Specifically, the position is on the development of advanced cell culture systems and biofabricated scaffolds for muscle tissue engineering.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • MSc Degree or equivalent.
  • Experience in Cell culture,3D encapsulation and characterization, hydrogel preparation and characterization.
  • Experience working with bioprinters, flow cytometry devices, zetasizer and micro reader.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience with exosome isolation from mesenchymal stem cells.
SCHEDULE: 40 hours per week, Flexible schedule to be adjusted to research needs and under the direction of the PI.
(i.e. evenings, weekends and holiday)
