Job Responsibilities
Plans, coordinates, and supervises all aspects of the management of a health club/pool club/spa. Supervises the activities of staff and Implements procedures and policies, fitness programs, and social events. Ensures that the spa is maintained in pristine condition. Overall supervision of premises on all days, Including holidays and weekends.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Establishes all procedures, policies, and protocol in conjunction with GTCA Management and the Board of Directors, and the Spa Committee. Supervises the work schedules and duties of all personnel.
- Trains new spa employees
- Maintains and operates swimming pools and whirlpool in accordance with code requirements.
- Maintains and reports the repairs of fitness equipment promptly.
- Instructs and assists residents on the proper and safe usage of the GTCA fitness equipment.
- Inspects the Spa facility daily for cleanliness and the proper functioning of all Spa equipment.
- Enforces all Spa rules.
- Interfaces with spa committee as necessary and assists with the planning, setting up, running, and supervising of all their functions.
- Prepares reports
- Schedules the use of the Lounge for all meetings.
- Attends Spa Committee Meetings
- Maintains and operates Tennis Courts
- Purchases, warehouses, and maintains inventory of all spa supplies.
- Interfaces with the Facilities Service Manager on spa repairs and projects.
- Interfaces with the Planned Housekeeping Manager regarding Spa cleaning.
- Oversees operation and control of the access control system.
- Helps prepare departmental budget.
- Must be able to work all weekends and holidays.

- Perform or assist with any operations as required to maintain workflow and to meet schedules. Notify supervision of unusual equipment or operating problems and the need for additional material and supplies.
- May participate in any variety of meetings and work groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, policies, and regulatory guidelines.
- Ensure all safety precautions are followed while performing the work.
- Follow all policies and Standard Operating Procedures as instructed by Management.
- Perform any range of special projects, tasks and other related duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibility
- On-site staff where applicable including Spa staff. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit. Carries out supervisory responsibilities In accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities Include Interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Education & Experience
Related supervisory experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Computer literacy Is required; to Include a working knowledge of word processing/spreadsheet software.
The position requires a blend of extensive administrative experience, organizational ability, supervisory skills, telephone skills, demonstrated communicative ability, both orally and In writing. The work of the position necessitates correspondence and report writing proficiency; a neat, professional appearance and an aptitude for public relations in a customer service environment.
Certified Pool Operator Certification, Lifeguard Training/First Aid Certification, CPR Certification.

- Must have finger dexterity for typing/using a keyboard.
- Must be mobile enough to move around both the office in order to make copies, send mail and faxes and to walk around the property. This could include lengthy walks on uneven areas.
- Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors, and other associates.
- Capable of working extended hours, to include evenings, weekends and holidays as necessary.
- This position may alternate between working indoors in a controlled climate and with proper lighting, to an outdoors setting with variable climate and lighting.
- Must be able to interact with all types of individuals, be mentally alert, detail oriented, and with good reasoning skills.
- Must be able to work on more than one assignment at a time with frequent interruptions, changes and delays. Must be able to remain focused and work effectively, efficiently, and cheerfully under such circumstances.
