STARTING YOUR JOURNEY:

As a Spa Receptionist, you will deliver amazing brand standards and immaculate guest facilities. You will be responsible for your own work and take pride in the high standard of cleanliness. As a Spa Receptionist, you will be responsible for checking your own rooms are of a high standard and ready for our guests.
You will embrace every opportunity to create extra special moments for our guests and provide a personal experience our guests will want to share.

Joining the dedicated Spa Department, you will:

  • Meet and greet guests in a professional and courteous manner, being an ambassador for the Yu Spa and setting the Spa ambience with the right first impression. Attention to detail is key.
  • Have a complete knowledge of all spa offerings, from treatments to retail spa/leisure memberships. Maximise every opportunity to upsell promote the department to drive sales revenue.
  • Develop a strong working knowledge of our spa computer systems, Premier Core, is key and being able to schedule appointments, take payments process bookings is a daily task. This might be in person or over the phone.
  • Anticipate guests needs and provide memorable experiences.
  • Actively promote the leisure membership, provide spa/leisure tours maintain a strong, professional relationship with members, remembering their names creating a welcoming environment. Process all new members, set up direct debits take all monthly payments.
  • Deal with any guest feedback, issues or complaints in the moment, following brand standards to ensure that guests leave happy. Escalate to management when required.
  • Complete opening and closing procedures within the spa reception area as per the daily checklist, and in line with the expected standard.
  • Basic admin tasks as provided by the supervisor team such as membership communication phone calls, receiving deliveries, updating portals and email correspondence.

As a Spa Receptionist, you will have excellent attention to detail in order to provide consistent standards. This is a vital role in the function of the Hotel and ultimately the service provided to our guests before, during and after their stay. You will love chatting to our guests offering help and assistance, you will be a great at multi-tasker, you will be efficient at solving guest enquiries and you will always have a smile for our teams and guests. On your first day you will begin a structured 12 week learning journey, giving you the skills, knowledge, and confidence to be a great Spa Receptionist. With this in mind, we are looking for a Spa Receptionist who:

  • Can deliver excellent standard
  • Has a customer service attitude
  • Has the ability to multi-task and provides excellent attention to detail
  • Holds a genuine desire to provide a Warmer Welcome to our guests
  • 6 months experience of working in a customer facing role or similar
  • Competent in using Microsoft Outlook - email calendar, Excel Word
  • Good awareness of Health Safety in the workplace. Will be required to carry out core HS training sessions such as First Aid, Pool Responder and in some situations, Pool Plant Safety.
  • Ideally previous experience of working within a Spa environment.
