Core responsibilities
primarily responsible for greeting and welcoming clients at a spa, managing appointments, answering phone calls, providing information about spa services and products, handling sales transactions, ensuring a clean reception area, and delivering exceptional customer service, often acting as the first point of contact for guests. Key responsibilities of a spa receptionist may include:

Greeting and welcoming clients: Providing a warm and friendly welcome to all guests upon arrival at the spa.

  • Appointment scheduling: Managing the appointment book, booking, rescheduling, and canceling appointments over the phone and in person.
  • Answering phone calls:Answering incoming calls promptly, addressing inquiries about services, pricing, and availability.
  • Sales and retail:Promoting and selling spa products and packages to clients.
  • Client check-in and check-out:Verifying client information, processing payments, and handling any necessary paperwork.
  • Maintaining reception area:Keeping the front desk area clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Customer service:Addressing client concerns, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive experience.
  • Knowledge of spa services:Being well-informed about all the spa treatments, packages, and pricing to answer client questions.
  • Cash handling:Accurately handling cash transactions and adhering to cash handling policies.
  • Administrative tasks:Maintaining client records, updating schedules, and completing necessary reports.

Required skills for a spa receptionist:

  • Excellent communication skills: Ability to interact with clients in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Strong organizational skills: Efficiently managing appointments and maintaining accurate records.
