Description:
ABOUT US
Over the past 15 years, we’ve invested more than £450m across our five campuses in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire. Named ‘Modern University of the Year 2023’ by The Times and The Sunday Times, we know that our campuses and facilities are a key part of our success, which is why we’re investing a further £250m across our sites over the next five years.
As one of the most environmentally responsible universities in the world, we lead the sector by embedding sustainability into everything we do. As part of our Estates team, you’ll help to guide and support this work by reducing our carbon impact and accelerating our progress to net zero by 2040.
Responsibilities:
The Space Information Assistant will support the Space Information team in managing the university’s floor plans and building records and assist the wider Estates team in planning for future developments.
We are looking for someone with a good attention to detail and the ability to learn new systems quickly. Experience of producing AutoCAD drawings to a high standard are required, as well as skills in data input and systems administration.
You will be required to maintain an up-to-date knowledge of developments to the university’s estate, working across all campuses as necessary. You will ensure that estate changes are accurately reflected in AutoCAD floor plans as well as online Computer Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) and way-finding systems. You will provide drawing support for the Estates Change Request process and space feasibilities, providing the best possible solutions and service for all customers.
You will also assist with the production of data returns and reports for senior managers and external bodies, so strong numerical and written communication skills are desirable.
For more details, please take a look at the role profile. We’ll still consider applications even if you don’t meet every single one of the requirements, so don’t be put off if you don’t match them perfectly. To ensure the diverse needs of our team are met we actively encourage secondments and offer flexible part-time working patterns - we’re focused on finding the right person for the role.
