Description:
OHB Italia is seeking for its Satellites & Missions Business Unit in Milan/Rome for immediate start a
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Management, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in program management within space missions or aerospace projects, particularly with ESA/ASI or similar agencies.
- Ground Segment Expertise is a plus: Demonstrated experience in management of design, development, and validation of ground segment systems, including command and control, telemetry, and communication networks.
- Leadership and Team Management: Demonstrated ability to build, manage, and motivate cross-disciplinary teams, fostering collaboration, and resolving conflicts effectively.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of space mission standards, industry practices, and protocols.
- Financial Acumen: Strong knowledge of project economics, including cost estimation and budget management.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to present complex information clearly to clients and stakeholders.
- Negotiation Skills: Proficiency in negotiation with customers, suppliers, and stakeholders to achieve the best project outcomes.
- Project Management Tools: Familiarity with project management software and methodologies (e.g., MS Project, ECSS, PMP).
- Languages: Fluency in spoken and written English.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Certifications: PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification is a plus.
- International Experience: Experience working in international teams is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Program Management: Lead and manage complex space mission projects, ensuring they meet technical, schedule, and financial objectives from conception to completion.
- Customer Interface: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring customer requirements are met.
- Internal Coordination: Oversee cross-functional teams, aligning internal resources (engineering, procurement, finance) to ensure smooth project execution.
- PMO team Management: Coordinate and manage the PMO team, including Procurement Managers which support the PM in the interaction with external suppliers and contractors, ensuring they meet project deliverables on time and within budget.
- Meetings and Reviews: Organize and lead project meetings, technical reviews, and workshops, providing clear communication and documentation of outcomes.
- Budget and Financial Oversight: Manage project economics, including cost estimation, budget tracking, risk mitigation, and reporting on overall financial health.
- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks to the project schedule, budget, and performance, ensuring proactive measures are in place.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to industry standards (e.g., ESA, ASI) and regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
