Description:
MINIMUM POSITION KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Proven ability to maintain, repair, and operate the following boat classes:
- (43’ Class) inboard engine (diesel fuel)
- (30’-27’ Class) twin outboard (unleaded fuel)
- (20’ Class) twin outboard (unleaded fuel)
- (17’ Class) single outboard (unleaded fuel)
- Scout outboard (unleaded fuel)
- (55’ Class) Pontoon outboard (unleaded fuel)
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read and write English is required.
- Candidate should be other country national (OCN) or local national (LN).
- Must have previous experience as a lead or supervisor.
- Solid communications skills, strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong ability to work and lead as a member of a diverse, dynamic team.
- Outstanding problem-solving skills and sound judgment.
- Possess a valid issued driver’s license, passport from their country have ability to obtain a work visa.
- Ability to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain requirements for duration of deployment.
Responsibilities:
PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
Provide leadership and direction to a divorce team for maintenance, maintenance control, and repair services for Government-furnished moorings (buoys), barges, watercraft, and other equipment that support water operations and vessel shipments (loading or unloading of cargo and fuel) to support the Air Force Contract Augmentation Program (AFCAP) on Ascension Island Auxiliary Airfield (AAAF).
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide maintenance, maintenance control, and repair services for Government-furnished moorings (buoys), barges, watercraft, and other equipment that support water operations and vessel shipments (loading or unloading of cargo and fuel).
- Perform semi-annual assessments of water assets.
- Inspect, maintain, and repair assigned USAF buoys and mooring points at AAAF above and below water level.
- Maintain all logbooks and records are properly maintained
- Maintain orderly and safe boating conditions and enforces local marine ordinances.
- Supervise the maintenance and repair of markers, buoys, floats, etc.
- Submits requisitions for the purchase of harbor equipment.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
