Description:

SUMMARY: WinTec Arrowmaker, Inc. is a defense contractor dedicated to providing outstanding program management, engineering, logistics, and operations support to Department of Defense customers. The Special Security Officer (SSO) in the Special Security Office Support position will provide a full range of security duties and assignments in Support SCI security programs, and will assist in the operation of the special security office to administer the SCI security program to include providing SCI security guidance for other local/tenant SCIFs. The Special Security Office Support position will report directly to the WinTec Program Manager.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Interpret Director of National Intelligence, DIA and DoD directives and provide technical advice and guidance on SCI personnel, physical and information security standards
  • Maintain applicable SCI directives, regulations, manuals, and guidelines
  • Ensure SCI is properly accounted for, controlled, transmitted, transported, packaged, and safeguarded and destroyed as required
  • Ensure SCI is disseminated only to persons authorized access to the material and having an established need-to-know
  • Investigate SCI security infractions, making recommendations to the Chief SSO on site and preparing required reports
  • Conduct SCI personnel, information, physical and technical security (TEMPEST/Technical Surveillance Countermeasures (TSCM) actions
  • Provide security awareness trainings as required by regulations and requested by the COR.
  • Perform all aspects of the SCI Personnel Security Program
  • Serve as the official channel for certifying and receiving SCI visitor clearances/accesses
  • Maintain DISS (formerly JPAS)
  • Provide guidance and assistance for processing SCI position and eligibility requests
  • Assist in providing overall physical security and ensure that all current and future SCIFs comply with the physical security standards outlined in ICD 705 all other applicable directives and policies
  • Provide industrial security program guidance and oversight for all contracts under the authority of the commander
  • Establish and maintain industrial security files in accordance with MAJCOM and local direction
  • Implement and maintain the Wing’s Anti-Terrorism (AT) program
  • Perform all aspects of Information Security
  • Report and investigate all reported security incidents
  • SCIF Physical Security Manager will maintain appropriate accreditation documentation for each SCIF, communications system, and IS under the Wing’s security cognizance
  • Obtain approval from DIA/DAC for SCIF modifications. Notify DIA/DAC of changes to SCIF security posture. Conduct annual SCIF self-inspection
  • Coordinate and include SCIF security in the EAP. Request and coordinate Technical Surveillance Countermeasures Surveys with OSI
  • Conduct penetration exercises annually and alarm tests semiannually
  • Coordinate with local SF and provide rosters of individuals responsible for the overall security of the facility

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree related fields required and 3 to 10 years. Knowledge of a full range of security principles, concepts, practices, products and services; methods for evaluating risk and vulnerability; implementing mitigating improvement; and disseminating security procedures/processes.
  • Experience supporting the ACC ISR enterprise.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Military background or familiarity with military command and control structures.
  • Possess a working knowledge of the organizational interface of military, federal, state, and local agencies.
  • Demonstrate time management, problem-solving skills, self-motivation, eagerness to learn, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to efficiently react to shifting program requirements and work in a team environment.
  • Effectively communicate, both orally and in writing.
