Description:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our client’s expanding team, as a Special Vehicle Supply Chain Management Senior Engineer
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Special Vehicle Engineering team to develop special vehicles based on our clients commercial vehicle product line-up. There will be a high level of collaboration with the special vehicle development team and the end user to develop proposals that support their individual use case requirements and delivering them with industry leading uptime and improving customer satisfaction.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
- Knowledge of development, implementation, and management of vehicle parts sourcing using both corporate and ad-hoc systems
- Knowledge of performing due diligence for supplier sourcing ensuring all suppliers support required standards
- Knowledge of supply chain route setups working with internal logistics support to gain efficiency where possible
- Manage internal stock ensuring counts are up to date to protect build program
- Monitor and develop roadmaps for supply chain improvements implementing them and coaching the team through the change
- Responsible for the Manage the Change process ensuring zero obsolescence through change
- Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing.
- Working knowledge of Corporate PC based MP&L programs and software packages
- A high level of presentation and communication to senior execs
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
- Special Vehicle/prototype parts sourcing, procurement, and delivery experience
EDUCATION REQUIRED:
- Engineering Degree or Masters Degree in a relevant subject
