Description:
We are now recruiting to our MSK outpatient physiotherapist specialist rotation service, at East Sussex NHS Healthcare Trust.
We are looking for enthusiastic and highly motivated physiotherapists keen to develop their MSK skills, to recruit into permanent roles across our East and West Rotations. Consideration will also be given to permanent Band 5 to 6 annexe 21 developer roles, dependant on individual MSK experience and professional qualifications.
As part of a varied Band 6 MSK rotation, you will have the opportunity to develop assessment and treatment skills in: hydrotherapy, hand therapy and rheumatology, and to broaden your clinical skills within specific UL, LL, Spinal and Rheumatology pathways. There is also the opportunity to get involved with our acute ‘Rapid Access’ initiative working alongside an Advanced Practitioner (AP) and a Senior Clinician.
You will also have the opportunity to build on your skills in clinical leadership, education and service improvement, to ensure continuous development of our services, and support delivery of the best MSK care for our patient community.
This role is central to the clinical development of others and you will supervise Rotational Physiotherapists, Technical Instructors, Physiotherapy Assistants and students, including delivery of ‘Clinical Reasoning Training’ sessions to those you supervise, as well as participating in wider In-Service Training programmes.
The Trust actively encourages personal development, and you will be expected to engage in a supported supervision programme, incorporating reflective practice, clinical reasoning and skills development, as well as independent CPD. We can offer you teaching, supervision and appraisal/development with our specialist B7’s, and our established team of APs, as you work through your clinical competencies and objectives.
A wide range of staff benefits are available to our staff including staff development, enrolment in the NHS pension scheme, auto-enrolment to our Temporary Workforce Service, access to nurseries at Conquest Hospital and Eastbourne District General Hospital, staff restaurants and on-site staff accommodation.
In addition to an internal Occupational Health department, all staff also have access to free psychological support through our confidential Employee Assistance Programme which is available to staff 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Onsite parking is available for a small administration fee.
