WHY THIS COULD BE A GREAT ROLE FOR YOU….

The CQC’s approach to inspections is reliant on the inclusion of Specialist Advisors in each inspection team. Specialist Advisors provide specialist advice and knowledge and support the CQC’s regulatory inspection and investigation activity. This advice ensures that our judgements are informed by up to date and credible clinical and professional knowledge and experience.
This role is ad-hoc and will run alongside your current role. Many organisations encourage this within study leave or professional leave as it is a valuable tool for service improvement and personal professional development. Feedback is provided which is valuable for professional development, annual appraisal and revalidation. Please note that all Specialist Advisors who are successful in applying will be required to participate in a 1- 2 day remote induction, hosted virtually.
As part of our 2024 Section 48 special review of mental health services at Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, we are embarking on an exciting national initiative: A National Programme and Thematic Review of Adult Community Mental Health Services.
We aim to delve deeply into the quality of care provided by community mental health services across England. Over the next two years, we will:
Evaluate gaps in care quality, patient safety, public safety, and staff experiences.
Identify best practices and areas for improvement.
Deliver a comprehensive national report with actionable recommendations to drive meaningful change in the sector.
The Adult Community Mental Health Thematic Review Programme (ACMHP) will demonstrate significant potential to make a tangible difference to the provision of community mental health services nationally, and to improve experiences and outcomes for people who experience poor mental health.
Additionally, you’ll collaborate with a passionate and dedicated team, gain valuable professional growth, and contribute to a programme with significant national impact. This is your chance to drive positive change in the mental health sector and help create better outcomes for individuals and the wider population.
