Description:
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GEDrequired;
- Demonstrated proficiency in administrative procedures
- Strong writing and communication skills
- Ability to lead others in an empathetic, collaborative manner
- Able to collaborate in a parish environment
- Able to promote and support life-affirming philosophy of client care
- Knowledge of MS Office Suite
- Knowledge of the service populations cultural and socioeconomic characteristics and the appropriate techniques and practices for the client population.
- Ability to interact effectively as a team member and independently with Agency staff, volunteers and with a diverse client base.
- Trauma-informed mentality and/or willingness to learn trauma-informed practices.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma/GED required; 1-2 yrs of marketing, events, or community outreach experience preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before community groups or employees of organization.

PURPOSE OF POSITION:
A Community Engagement Specialist at Catholic Charities:
