Description:

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Provide admin and point of contact support for Legal Management & eBilling systems, including maintenance of workflows, assisting users with searches and issue resolution
  • Create and run reports for in-house Legal attorneys/staff using existing tools and/or new tools
  • Ensure engagement letters and billing guidelines are in place with external vendors and, processes and governance are followed, and recommend new processes and governance where warranted as needed
  • Communicate with Accounts Payable relevant stakeholders regarding unpaid invoices and notify relevant parties of status
  • Resolve issues with invoices with vendors, including researching root cause, coordinating with in-house attorneys/staff to reach a solution, and coordinating with legal operations, finance and/or IT Technology to implement
  • Actively participate in Spend Management work team and assist and communicate with external contractors as appropriate MicroStrategy and Excel
  • Conduct system testing when new systems, upgrades and/or enhancements are implemented

KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCES

Educational Attainment:

  • Bachelor’s in Law or a related field of work, or equivalent work-related experience

Critical Expertise & Experience:

  • Experience administering systems and software, preferably in the law department or law firm space
  • Experience with system testing and issue resolution
  • Experience with resolving billing and invoice issues
  • Ability to work with very little supervision and proactively brief stakeholders on progress and outcomes
  • Experience with reporting tools – Passport and Anaqua experience is a plus
