Description:

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience of working in a documentary role which requires attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of Certificate of Origin’s and legalization requirements
  • 2+ years clearing and forwarding experience
  • Knowledge of the end-to-end supply chain process would be advantageous
  • MS Office applications, relevant SAP transactions.
  • Teamwork and ability to interact with multi-cultures in a resilient manner
  • Customer Orientation approach
  • Advanced level of English

Responsibilities:

JOB PURPOSE:

Manage the documentary process from the time the container has been loaded all the way through to final destination – billing included. Follow up on Certificate of Origin/simplified packing lists, where necessary, as well as COO’s from Dubai. Ensure that, where necessary, legalization of documents is arranged. Priority is placed on all documents being submitted in full, on time and meeting the relevant requirements at final country of destination. Work closely with sales for the opening of new accounts to ensure that all relevant information is received e.g. Department of Transportation, due diligence contact details, banking details, full documentary delivery address details, documentary requirements. Maximize customer satisfaction by driving the company and supply chain strategy in all dealings with Goodyear customers.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Process control and measurement of all documentation, billing and claims. Proactively monitor the status of the documents (incl. invoices) locally as well as with the relevant service providers. Continuously look into any process improvements which could be made
  • Interact with dedicated departments and all service providers to maintain and also improve agreed processes
  • Proactively request new routes/lanes when required. Highlight any deviance from the agreed contract with carriers/service providers and resolve the issue with the support from Fright Management Team.Involvement into yearly tender
  • Regular interaction with the Customer Facing Team for matters related to Non-EU shipments, inspections, LC shipments
  • Ensure that the invoice tracker is kept up to date. Keep up to speed with the country requirements for all Middle East & Africa related customers. Work with attention to details so as to avoid the possibility of any claims being received due to errors in documentation
