If you are a teacher (prefferred disability specialist teacher, masters) with experience working with children with developmental delay or disability and a strong working knowledge of child development, assessing children’s abilities and functioning, then this could be the job opportunity you are looking for.
The Early Childhood Early Intervention (ECEI) thereapy support / Key Worker position offers the opportunity to work with children and their families to achieve their NDIS goals through best practice principals in early childhood intervention in the child’s natural environments. Working 1:1 with children and their families to help them to achieve their full potential.
Therapy is delivered in a personalised way through the ECEI key worker who may also draw on more specialized expertise, by referring and liaising in greater detail with other relevant professional (such as a Speech Pathologist, Occupational Therapist, psychologist, or physiotherapist etc.) or even bring them in to visit the family at key stages of the process.
Responsibilities:
In applying for this role, you will need;
- Appropriate qualifications, registrations and experience in the field
- Experience working with children with a disability/developmental delay and their families
- Excellent communication skills
- Effective time management skills
- Valid Australian Drivers License, Car and insurance
- Working with Children Check (WWCC), Police Check
- COVID-19 digital certificate, or, an immunization history statement as proof of double vaccination and booster
