Description:

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • University Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or Operations Management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Some domestic travel required to support all Ford PDC locations in Canada, in Ontario and Alberta

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s degree in Industrial Relations.
  • Experience in a unionized environments is an asset.

  • Support the delivery of HR products and services for the Canadian Parts Distribution Centre’s. Coaches, facilitates, and advises operating lead(s) to maximize individual, team, and organizational performance. Provides insight to stimulate new perspectives / approaches and different ways of thinking.
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners, People Leaders and Hiring Managers to deliver Talent Acquisition initiatives for both hourly & salaried roles including new hire acquisition (Internal/External job advertisements, recruitment, selection and onboarding).
  • Develop and publish reports and data to support labour relations activities linked to collective agreement administration, company programs and plans
  • Process daily administrative routines including attendance management and wage administration activities, disciplinary action, and early warning indicator investigations.
  • Build strong relationships with business partners, Unifor, HR colleagues, and experts to jointly deliver business objectives, remove roadblocks, and resolve issues.
  • Partner with Skill teams in implementing the People Cycle Plan.
  • Coach, counsels, and educates business partners on HR policies, processes, programs, and strategies.
  • Delivers HR services in accordance with and ensures compliance (e.g. via audits) with applicable employment laws, regulatory agencies, regulations, policies, and practices (e.g. ethics, health and safety).
  • Support HR Manager & Risk Manager in health and safety activities as required

Responsibilities:

Working with our team at the Canadian Parts Distribution Centres, the Human Resources Business Advisor will join our Ford of Canada Family fulfilling a 12-month contract / assignment. You will play a central role in fostering an effective and inclusive work environment balancing both employee advocacy and stewardship that aligns with our Ford+ company purpose. This contract position will be located primarily at our Paris Parts Distribution Centre where the team is focused on advancing our relationships with our customers and our Ford and Ford-Lincoln Dealer Network. The successful candidate will also be required to support other established locations in Ontario and Alberta and travel accordingly.
