Responsibilities:
PURPOSE OF THE POST:
The Specialist – Internal Audit Capability contributes to the strengthening of the organization’s internal control systems and risk management processes. The purpose of this position is, under the supervision of the Head of the IAC, to conduct internal audit and consultancy activities and to provide independent and objective advice on the efficiency and effectiveness of the internal control system and risk management framework. Additionally, the Specialist contributes to the development and execution of the IAC annual audit plan, ensuring alignment with the organizational goals, and to the following-up on the implementation of corrective actions to mitigate identified risks.
FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES
The incumbent carries out the following main functions and duties:
Contribute to the IAC’s mission in advising the organization on internal control systems and risk management processes
by delivering independent assessments and recommendations;
Contribute to the development and execution of the IAC annual work programme;
- Develop plans for audit and consultancy engagements, outlining objectives, scope and methodology;
- Perform audit and consultancy engagements and draft reports with actionable recommendations;
- Follow-up on the implementation of recommendations to ensure corrective actions are completed;
- Support the Head of the IAC with the preparation of the annual activity report;
- Perform any other duties in the area of competence as assigned by the Head of the IAC.
