DETAILS

  • Department: Internal Functional Communications
  • Schedule: Full Time/8-Hour Day Shift, Monday-Friday
  • Location: Remote with quarterly travel at most - Living in one of the following key markets is strongly preferred - Nashville, Chicago, Austin, Milwaukee, or Indianapolis

REQUIREMENTS

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate’s degree/Bachelor’s degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred

WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • 3-5 years in a communications technology role
  • Significant experience partnering with internal technology teams
  • Adept at project management and evolving new communications tools, processes and channels for large, matrixed organizations
  • A people management background in a primarily remote setting
  • A previous background that included oversight of company-wide communications strategies and tools
  • Experience developing clear KPIs and reporting out to multiple teams, including senior executives
  • Previous experience supporting an ERP implementation desiredExperience working with LumApps or similar intranet platforms is preferred

Responsibilities:

RESPONSIBILITIES

As Specialist, Internal Communications Content Distribution for the internal communications team at Ascension, you will support the distribution strategy of Ascension’s internal communications. In this role, you will ensure timely distribution of content through a variety of channels, working with the broader Internal Communications team to drive associate engagement.
As a trusted partner and shared resource for our other internal communications systems teams, you’re a collaborator, a top-notch communicator, and have a keen understanding of internal communications. The role will report to the Senior Manager, Communications Channels.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Cross train on all identified communications channels to best support distribution
  • Build out weekly system level newsletters
  • Support ministry market communications leaders with distribution guidance
  • Create distribution lists based on need
  • Collaborate with system IC partners to strategically schedule and plan upcoming communications while determining the best channels to reach their audience
  • Assist in establishing and documenting best practices for the distribution of internal communications content distributed
  • Partner with Internal Shared Services team to ensure all multimedia content aligns with planned rollouts
  • Collaborate with Channels team to build robust analytics and dashboards to better understand capabilities of company channels making recommendations based on user experience and data trends
  • Partner with Channels team to assist in the strategy for redesign of company intranet and other channels to increase engagement
  • Research latest communications technologies that drive engagement
  • Combine strategic thinking and big-picture perspective with attention to detail, clarity and focus
