Description:
To provide advice, support and information to the family at the early stages of diagnosis and to act as a key worker/ lead professional, when necessary, also signposting to other sources of support To run nurseled clinics, demonstrating the ability to work as an autonomous practitioner including the on-going assessment of the effectiveness of treatment packages, ensuring compliance with professional practice and NICE guidance To provide advice to parents on behavioural management, including challenging behaviours at home and sleep problems in children and young people To take clinical responsibility for a varied paediatric caseload of differing complexities and to organise this effectively with regard to clinical priorities and use of time To be a prescriber of medications having undertaken appropriate training and to work with the Consultant prescriber to an agreed Clinical Management Plan, contributing to the service offered by the whole team
