Description:
We are looking for an enthusiastic, innovative, experienced Occupational Therapist to join our friendly, forward-thinking team providing rehabilitation for a diverse range of people with stroke and neurological conditions within Stockport.
Based in the community, you will work within a comprehensive multidisciplinary team of Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Clinical Psychologists, Nurses, Assistant Practitioner, Therapy Assistants and Admin. You will be welcomed as a valued member of the coordinated and committed team, sharing knowledge, skills and opportunities to learn.
You will be provide specialist knowledge to facilitate the early supported discharge of stroke patients from the stroke unit, and work with patients with acute and long term neurological conditions to provide rehabilitation in the home environment, and other community settings, improving their quality of life.
Support and education is provided with the opportunity to work directly with experienced and specialist clinicians across the team and the chance to contribute meaningfully to a fast-paced and growing team, who were awarded ' Clinical Team of the Year’ 2023 award within the Trust .
