Description:
WHO WE ARE
Simon Fraser University is a leading research university, advancing an inclusive and sustainable future. Our purpose – the essence of SFU – is to create and connect knowledge, learning and community for deeper understanding and meaningful impact. We are committed to fostering excellence, innovation, belonging and community in all that we do.
The Organizational Health team helps to create safe, healthy, inclusive and engaging work environments, reduce absenteeism, and provide meaningful opportunities and accommodations for those with ongoing illness and disabilities. Our goal is to help employees stay at work and when illness necessitates absences, integrate them back into the work environment safely, expediently, and respectfully.
Responsibilities:
This new Specialist will work very closely with the existing team to ensure that we continue to provide outstanding service to our University community. The role will be involved in designing and developing tools, workshops and reference materials for leaders that increase the capacity to facilitate the timely, successful and safe return to work of injured and ill staff and faculty members.
We are looking for an exceptional candidate to join and contribute to our incredibly high-functioning and inclusive team that is committed to our own well-being and resilience and creates healthy environments that support this in others. Our ideal candidate will possess a high level of self-awareness and emotional intelligence and will bring additional skills and insights that align with our existing core values and objectives.
