The Specialist - Partnerships is responsible for supporting practices within Ryan’s Innovation Funding practice by identifying, securing, and managing relationships with external partners.
This role focuses on building, nurturing, and expanding relationships with key partners and stakeholders, while also identifying new partnership opportunities to enhance service offerings.
The role involves working closely with partnerships in complementary areas to Innovation Funding services (Grants, Capital Allowance, Energy Tax Relief, R&D tax credits, and the Patent Box). The position emphasizes working closely with colleagues to develop long-standing and productive relationships with partners to drive appropriately qualified referrals into the Innovation Funding practice.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work closely with internal teams to identify and develop partnership opportunities.
  • Attend industry events and networking opportunities to identify and engage potential partners.
  • Maintain CRM records for partner and stakeholder interactions.
  • Confidently present Ryan’s funding solutions to prospective and existing partners, highlighting the value of Innovation Funding services and fostering partnership opportunities.
  • Conduct outreach and relationship-building activities, including calls, emails, and in-person meetings with prospective partners.
  • Identify, research, and engage new partnership opportunities, with a focus on Innovation Funding and related services.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key partners and industry stakeholders, driving a pipeline of prospect partners and converting them into valuable referrers.
  • Respond to partnership-related inquiries and collaborate on proposals to meet partnership needs.
  • Prepare documentation for partnership agreements and presentations.
  • Support negotiations, partnership agreement development, and due diligence efforts.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and align partnership initiatives to support Firm goals.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, tax legislation changes, and innovations in grants and R&D funding to engage effectively.
  • Use industry-specific knowledge to customize partnership approaches for Innovation Funding services.
  • Work closely with the Client Services, Service Delivery, and Global Clients and Markets teams to achieve partnership goals, providing guidance and support to promote individual and team success.
  • Monitor personal performance and conduct regular evaluations to encourage growth and development.
  • Provide regular updates on activities, prospects, and pipeline progress to senior sales leadership.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, with 3-5 years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and experience required.

Computer Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft® Word, Excel, Outlook, CRM, and Internet research.

  • Limited supervisory responsibilities, including team training and development, in line with company policies and regulations.
