Sydney Oral Medicine is a specialist clinic specialising providing care for patients with complex oral health conditions. We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented person to join our team.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinic environment.
- Proficient computer skills for managing electronic health records.
- Experience with medical billing and insurance procedures is a plus.
- Previous clinical dental assisting experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of oral medicine terminology, diagnostic procedures and treatment protocols and completion of recognised qualifications eg Cert III, Cert IV dental assisting is a plus.

Responsibilities:
- Assist oral medicine specialists in patient consultations, examinations, and treatment procedures.
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring cleanliness and organization.
- Support the healthcare team in providing patient education on oral health conditions and treatment plans.
- Handle patient inquiries, schedule appointments, and maintain patient records.
- Perform administrative tasks, including managing phone calls, filing documents, and organizing office supplies.
- Coordinate referrals and follow-up appointments for patients as required.
- Facilitate communication between patients and healthcare providers.
- Uphold patient confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA regulations.
