Sydney Oral Medicine is a specialist clinic specialising providing care for patients with complex oral health conditions. We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented person to join our team.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinic environment.
  • Proficient computer skills for managing electronic health records.
  • Experience with medical billing and insurance procedures is a plus.
  • Previous clinical dental assisting experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of oral medicine terminology, diagnostic procedures and treatment protocols and completion of recognised qualifications eg Cert III, Cert IV dental assisting is a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist oral medicine specialists in patient consultations, examinations, and treatment procedures.
  • Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring cleanliness and organization.
  • Support the healthcare team in providing patient education on oral health conditions and treatment plans.
  • Handle patient inquiries, schedule appointments, and maintain patient records.
  • Perform administrative tasks, including managing phone calls, filing documents, and organizing office supplies.
  • Coordinate referrals and follow-up appointments for patients as required.
  • Facilitate communication between patients and healthcare providers.
  • Uphold patient confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA regulations.
