An opportunity for a specialist practitioner (SLT/OT) has arisen in the Children’s Neurodevelopmental (ND) Service in Powys Teaching Health Board. This is a 1.0 WTE Band 6 fixed term role. The post holder will have a key role in the multidisciplinary diagnostic assessment of autism, ADHD and related conditions.
The Children’s ND Service in Powys Teaching Health Board is a highly supportive dynamic team which is adapting and developing to meet the needs of our community. Our service pathways are undergoing change and it is an exciting time to be working with us. The post holder will work within a multidisciplinary team carrying out assessment with children and their families, giving diagnostic feedback and advice and liaising with the important people around them. The post holder will have access to regular specialist clinical supervision as well as providing support and supervision to junior members of the team.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post. Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

The post holder will contribute to the co-ordination and delivery of a high quality specialist service to children and young people with neurodevelopmental disorders.
Work as part of a multidisciplinary Paediatric team providing assessment to children and young people for Powys Teaching Health Board under the
supervision of the Clinical Lead Practitioner.
This will include the ongoing development of an innovative service for children, young people and their families who have either an Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and/or an Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
