Description:
- Work with the Consultant, Career Guidance to execute the planned direction to achieve the team’s objectives.
- Support the development of capabilities and build capacity to provide effective Profiling & Assessment to all segments of Learner Advisory & Career Centre’s learners via a toolbox of assessment instruments to suite the requirements of learners
- Support the development, and on-going enhancements, of SIM’s CareerSense application.
- Support in Career Coaching.
- Support in Workshop and Training.
- Provide operational supervision for specific learner development programmes, including providing leadership, guidance, and coaching to the interns and taskforce. Programmes include:
a. Talent Development Programme
b. SIM Edge Award Programme - Support and drive marketing and publicity efforts for the programmes to achieve optimal learner engagement and outreach.
- Lead the concept of Career Acceleration Programme from Career Guidance perspective and work closely with various stakeholders across SIM to ensure smooth execution of the Programme.
- Identify individual needs of undergraduate learners, suggest and implement appropriate interventions using a variety of available techniques.
- Participate in key education and human capital forums/events to network and stay abreast of market trends, legislative changes and industry demands in human capital development with particular attention to preferred skill sets and functional qualities to aid career guidance programmes.
- Support Regional Recruitment initiatives. Relatively bi-lingual to provide support for collaboration with Mandarin speaking markets will be an added advantage.
- Provide support in maintaining strategic partnerships with both internal and external stakeholders, e.g. ELDB, PDS, PDEL, employers, alumni, faculty, students and career guidance professionals.
- Ensure compliance with government and accreditation regulations.
Academic Education and Work Experience
- Degree holder with at least 3 years of professional experience.
- Experience in one or more of the following: research, marketing, events management, stakeholder management, project management, customer service, talent development, and business development.
- Experience in an Institute of Higher Learning (IHL) setting would be advantageous.
- Effectively bilingual would be advantageous.
