Description:

Are you looking to develop your career as a children’s Speech and Language Therapist, perhaps looking to develop your experience and specialise in SEN experience?
Are you looking to work as part of a supportive team in a flexible working environment?
You will be joining the Children’s Integrated Therapy (CIT) team at an exciting juncture! As we implement a new Service structure and a new Therapy model based on Care Aims (Kate Malcomess) and Therapy Outcome Measures (TOMs), our vacancy is in the South of the county based in Abingdon for enthusiastic, dynamic and highly motivated therapists to join our team.
Working alongside experienced colleagues you would support band 5 and band 4 colleagues. Depending on experience and the post you would support children on our core clinical pathways (Speech Sound Disorders, Language Difficulties, Social Communication). You would support children in schools, special schools, homes and clinic.
The SLT team is made up of Band 5 and 6 Therapists, Technical Assistants, Apprentices, and both Specialist Team Leads and Specialist Clinical Leads (Band 7). We provide Speech and Language Therapy for children and young people aged 0 - 19 years across Oxfordshire in a range of settings. The Service delivery model is based on six Clinical Pathways and underpinned by the current evidence base.
You will have opportunities to work alongside other members of the CIT team – Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and CIT Assistant Practitioners, as well as collaborating with the wider MDT in Education, Health and Social Services. You will have your own caseload to manage and prioritise, delivering timely assessment and intervention packages, contributing to the SEND process, engaging in clinical meetings (including Multi Agency Safeguarding Supervision sessions), and delivering training to staff and parents.
Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust provides physical, mental health and social care for people of all ages across Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Swindon, Wiltshire, Bath and North East Somerset.
