What You Do
What You Do
Responsible for improving Parts Ordering processes and Supply Chain performance to support MTM Operations.

As a part of the above, and on an ongoing basis will also:

  • Lead improvement activities involving all internal and external stake holders.
  • Creation and documentation of improved processes in PC standardized work Job list.
  • Presentation of improvements made to PC and MTM executives management levels.
  • Crisis management and coordination with all internal and external supply chain stakeholders.
  • Work closely with Japanese staff advisors from parent companies.
  • Execute daily &/or weekly communication with suppliers to understand struggle points, assess risk / impact to operations and escalate to parent companies supports groups for CMs.
  • Part/Supplier crisis problem solving, tracking, reporting and recovery.
  • Train Suppliers. SLIM, ECI mgmt., PC systems, PC Shipping Compliance.
  • Work cross-functionally with manufacturing and internal logistics conveyance areas to confirm process. compliance to ensure on-time delivery of parts to production.
  • Monitor and evaluate domestic and international supplier performance.
  • Lead problem solving efforts to countermeasure and mitigate impact of abnormal supply chain conditions.
  • Support new model launches and shutdown coordination activities.
  • Contribute to & support annual business plans and strategies to support Mazda Toyota Manufacturing priorities.
  • Support change point management activities impacting production and production systems.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by the department.
  • Be available to work outside of normal work schedule, including but not limited to weekends, holidays, shutdowns if need it and travel 30 - 40% (domestically and internationally US/MEX/CAN).

What you Bring

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Basic knowledge of high-volume production systems.
  • MS Excel proficiency. Capable to do Pivot tables, formula functions and V-look ups.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Analytical thinking, with the ability to identify gaps, root cause analysis and countermeasure implementation.
  • Developing project strategies, problem-solving and countermeasures.
  • Demonstrated understanding of data analysis and visualizations.
  • Proactive, Self-driven. Able to prioritize with minimal supervision.

What Will Set You Apart

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or Higher) in Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Business Management, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 2+ years’ Production Control experience within a high-volume production environment, preferably in automotive manufacturing
  • Demonstrated experience working in logistics, parts procurement, or supply chain management.
  • Project management experience with capability to develop, lead and prioritize work, meet milestones, gain consensus, and report out status of projects
  • Experience leading complex projects/teams
  • CTPAT or other trade compliance training/certification
  • Bilingual English / Spanish
