Description:

GENERAL SUMMARY OF POSITION:

This position is part of the operations team, reporting to Assoc. Manager, supply chain
management, responsible for ensuring the proper receipt, storage, and redistribution of
Ansell products to customers as well as supervising distribution center operations in
Bogota, including management of facility and personnel.

DC attributes (total):

  • 521 plus SKU’s.
  • 2,480 racked pallet positions (total) and samples.
  • Lot controlled, non-lot controlled, and sterile product.
  • 5 different product segments.

EDUCATION

Required: bachelor’s degree.
Imperative: Supply Chain Management, International trading, Business Administration, or others related with Logistics.

JOB EXPERIENCE

Minimum 3 years supervisory/management experience in distribution
Desirable Job experience: Have been worked with logistic providers (3pl).

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for overseeing Distribution Operations for Colombia; Key liaison with commercial leadership and regional functional management groups (Customs and Compliance, Transportation, Regulatory) to execute day-to-day operations.
  • Responsible for all aspects of receipt, storage, retrieval, and delivery of finished goods according to SOP. Hold to Colombia warehouse management through appropriate service level metrics supported by audit of proper procedures, documentation of all products related movements and control of inventory. Monitor and notify all discrepancies in receiving process to regional coordination team.
  • Responsible for ensuring the 3PL proper fulfilment of all customer orders and all customer-specific needs including custom labelling, documentation, and order preparation are met. Audit outbound shipments with freight vendors to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and optimal customer service.
  • Train, review, and motivate 3PL Distribution Center personnel as needed. Supervise and coach 3PL supervisors, leads, and associates on an as needed basis. Conduct periodic 3PL service-related reviews.
  • Assist the 3PL teams in managing Inventory Planning holds, repacks, quality issues, donations, product sampling, and QA & FDA holds to prevent release of unintended product.
  • Support the day-to-day operation with respect to:
  • Manage all Outbound requests from CS, supply, customs, marketing, sales, etc.
  • Manage all day-to-day exceptions as needed.
  • Identify and resolve delivery related issues through timely communication with customers, carriers, and Ansell’s CS team.
  • Supervises the cycle counts, auditories, inventory matches.
  • Updating and implementation of new logistics processes according to new. regulations or temporary projects.
  • Oversee 3PL service provider working on KPI’S.
  • Other site related accountabilities:a. Responsible for oversight of 3PL facility safety & security, meeting fire department and OSHA requirements, resolving any issues and ensuring no violations. Maintain safety records.b. Responsible for 3PL DC facility oversight, including preventative maintenance, recordkeeping, housekeeping of facility and surrounding areas.c. Act as back-up support for respective team member(s)d. Support training, communication plans and provide facilitation support as requested.e. Participate in cross-functional teams that support process improvements and/or team development.
