ABOUT THE ROLE

We are offering people interested in connecting with Traditional Owners a genuinely exciting opportunity to join us as a Specialist Survey Engagement in our Pilbara Environment and Cultural Knowledge team. This Perth-based opportunity involves occasional site travel to support Traditional Owner participation in biological assessments across the Pilbara.
The role’s purpose is to safely facilitate access to country for biological assessments by coordinating the notification process and leading surveys where there is Traditional Owner participation. In addition, develop meaningful relationships with Traditional Owners and biological professionals and find better ways to engage, improve ways of working. This is an opportunity to join a friendly and supportive team, delivering business-critical biological assessments to environmental approvals and resource access.

Reporting to the Superintendent Survey Delivery & Engagement and working in a collaborative and exciting environment within our State Agreements and Approvals team you will:

  • Lead and undertake effective planning for Traditional Owner involvement on biological surveys, including health and safety, scheduling, site mobilisation and logistics for Traditional Owner Groups and participants
  • Develop relationships and collaborate effectively with key internal and external stakeholders (including Approvals, HSEC and Traditional Owners)
  • Develop and maintain standards and work practices, identifying and executing continuous improvement opportunities
  • Contribute toward an inclusive and safe culture through demonstrating positive behaviours, values and sharing.
