Are you a creative professional with a passion for Visual Effects (VFX) and digital arts, who would relish the challenge of supporting a diverse range of talented learners, thinkers and makers? Join us at LCC as we experience exciting growth and prepare to move to a new, cutting-edge London campus in 2027.
In this role, you’ll play a vital part within the Moving Image and Digital Arts (MIDA) programme, supporting students across VFX, traditional and digital animation, immersive technologies, and games design. Your expertise will support programmes including BA/MA Animation, BA Immersive Media & Mixed Reality, MA Virtual Reality, BA Computer Animation & VFX, MA VFX, MA 3D Computer Animation, BA Games Art and BA/MA Games Design.
You will collaborate with colleagues to develop engaging workshops and resources, providing professional support, technical expertise, guidance and advice in practical VFX techniques such as green/blue screen, motion capture (MoCap), compositing, post-production and 3D world and asset design.
About you
We are looking for a strong communicator and mindful collaborator who can explain complex VFX and digital arts concepts clearly and passionately. Experience supporting learners from diverse backgrounds and skillsets within their creative and pedagogic workflow is essential. Knowledge of Health & Safety best practices is also important. Successful candidates should also possess:
Experience with several industry-standard programmes, such as Nuke, Houdini, Blender, Maya, Unreal Engine, Cinema 4D, After Effects, Premiere Pro, and Photoshop.
Strong working knowledge of MoCap, compositing, and In Camera Visual Effects.
Advanced understanding of VFX and XR technology, including hardware and software maintenance would be beneficial.
We value diversity and inclusivity in our teams. If you meet most of the requirements and are a strong team player, we’re happy to assess any skill gaps and provide training to help you thrive in this role.
