Do you have the expertise to share your specialised knowledge in Garment Technology within an innovative and technically focused educational environment? Join the team at London College of Fashion as a Specialist Technician, where you will play a key role in advancing the technical skills of the next generation of fashion professionals
As a Specialist Technician, you will provide expert guidance and contribute to teaching and learning activities across the College. You will provide students invaluable technical instruction in garment construction, pattern cutting, and the application of garment technology, ensuring that industry standards and innovative methods are upheld.
Your extensive experience in garment construction processes and knowledge of pattern-cutting technology will enable you to deliver highly specialised workshops. You will demonstrate and teach technical skills in garment construction and the use of specialist machinery, preparing students to thrive in a fast-paced industry.
You will adapt your communication and teaching style to meet the diverse needs of the student body, ensuring that every individual gains the education and skills required to succeed in a rapidly evolving fashion industry.
This position includes working evenings and weekend.
About you
To excel in this role, you should hold a relevant degree or equivalent qualification in fashion technology, or possess substantial industry experience in garment construction and a comprehensive understanding of pattern cutting, for both menswear and womenswear.

We are looking for candidates with a strong track record of applying effective teaching methods or professional practices that support excellence in teaching, learning, and inclusivity.
