Description:
Priory North London is seeking out a Lead Therapist/Psychologist to manage our specialist services and contribute to and co-manage new hospital offerings, whilst maintaining the highest standards of clinical care and practice. The successful candidate will have strong organisational and administrative skills, be a team-player, as well as have a proactive and positive attitude toward their work.
Requirements
- Relevant qualification and accreditation/registration with a suitable regulatory body (BACP, BABCP, HCPC)
- Exceptional administrative and organizational skills
- Demonstrated track record of acting with integrity, being supportive, being positive, putting people first, and striving for excellence
- Experience of working with directly complex mental health conditions
- Experience of working with CAMHS / working knowledge of clinical issues related to CAMHS patients
- The ability to work both independently as well as part of a team
- Proactivity and flexibility, growth mindse
Responsibilities:
- Direct contribution to and co-management of any new specialist service within the hospital or hospital group. This includes working alongside the therapy services manager to support the research and development of any new service, including operational input, training of staff where relevant, and the facilitation of daily operations, ensuring effective clinical and operational delivery
- Oversight, supervision and management of a small and dedicated team that supports the needs of patients with complex mental health needs on our acute services unit
- Provision of clinical and management supervision to inter-departmental team members
- Supporting the therapies manager with quality initiatives and audits
- Other duties to be negotiated with the therapy services manager
This is a developmental post and will evolve over time. The role provides fantastic leadership experience in a dynamic hospital setting.
