Job Summary
Under the guidance of the Manager, Total Rewards Projects, the Specialist is responsible for supporting the development and delivery of new Total Rewards programs, with a focus on recognition, to enhance the overall employee value proposition and employee experience. The role performs a broad range of tasks associated with all aspects of the Total Rewards program implementation and program coordination.
The role is responsible for researching best practices, evaluating and reporting on different program usages, making recommendations for improvement, communicating program changes and providing functional guidance to managers.

In this role you will:

  • Support the development and implementation of new Total Rewards programs.
  • Partner with broader cross-functional teams to ensure the success of program launches. Administer and coordinate all aspects of recognition programs on an ongoing basis, which may include regular and ad-hoc reporting, processing eligibility updates, processing invoices, and troubleshooting issues.
  • Continuously monitor and report on recognition program outcomes to evaluate impact and inform future decision making.
  • Coordinate with vendors to maintain up-to-date employee/retiree perks and promotional products.
  • Deliver workshops and other consultative initiatives to communicate the purpose and value of the recognition programs.
  • Acts as the initial point of contact regarding general Recognition program queries.
  • Review Total Rewards program objectives and identify potential improvements to these programs in line with feedback from managers and employees.
  • Analyze different market survey results and data to review trends and identify potential gaps and opportunities to report to Management on Total Rewards programs.
  • Provide functional advice and guidance to managers related to Total Rewards programs.

What you bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Human Resources, or related field or equivalent combination of related experience and education;
  • Designations such as CCP, CEBS, CHRP, CHRL or equivalents are an asset;
  • 1-3 years of HR (recognition/compensation/benefits/payroll/HRIS) experience required;
  • Experience with continuous improvement and change initiatives;
  • Knowledge of general Human Resources practices and policies;
  • Expertise with project and change management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle and process mappings;
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook;
  • Working knowledge of Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) like Workday is an asset.
