Standard Bank is seeking a highly skilled Trade Support (Middle Office) Specialist to join our Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) Global Markets Operations team. If you have a passion for facilitating trade processing, understanding of financial markets, instruments(stocks, bonds, derivatives), knowledge of trade lifecycle management, order execution, clearing and settlement processes, ensuring compliance, and managing operational risk, this is the opportunity for you!

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Commerce (Required)
Postgraduate Degree in Finance and Accounting (Preferred)
Responsibilities:
Lifecycle Management: Manage the structures necessary to administer deals throughout their lifecycle, from inception to settlement.
Process Oversight: Understand and handle the operational aspects of products, ensuring timing and execution of process flows are optimized.
Regulatory Compliance & Risk Mitigation: Collaborate with teams to ensure all trades comply with industry regulations and minimize operational risks associated with the Trade Lifecycle.
Trade Booking and Allocation: Oversee the accurate booking and allocation of trades, ensuring they are tracked, validated, confirmed, and settled within market deadlines.
Plan, Coordinate, and Monitor: Oversee day-to-day vanilla and manual intervention trades, ensuring smooth execution and settlement.
Client Data Management: Provide guidance to teams for maintaining complete and accurate trade data, ensuring timely processing and settlement.
Query Resolution: Address and remediate escalated issues and queries, ensuring compliance and enhancing the client experience.
Market Data Management: Ensure accurate reporting and communication of market data to clients and Global Markets Desks, facilitating effective risk management.
Trade Expiries Monitoring: Keep clients and desks informed of trade expiries and ensure timely payment and settlement processes.
Operational Excellence: Monitor and escalate operational issues, utilizing root cause analysis for continuous improvement.
Product Support: Provide subject matter expertise to stakeholders regarding trade support requirements in new product development and activations.
Reporting: Contribute to the development of reports and management information, tracking performance and providing insights for informed decision-making.
Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to resolve complex issues collaboratively.
