JOB DESCRIPTION:

Le programme d’avions commerciaux A220 est à la recherche de deux (2) Spécialistes en Ingénierie contraintes, spécialisés en structures métalliques et composites (f/h) pour se joindre à notre équipe basée à Mirabel, Québec au sein du département des services à la clientèle.
Le département d’ingénierie des structures en service est chargé de fournir des solutions de réparation efficaces aux clients de l’A220.
Vous ferez partie d’une équipe soutenant la flotte en service des compagnies aériennes sur les réparations de la structure de l’avion et êtes responsable des justifications du point de vue des contraintes statiques dans les meilleurs délais.
En tant que membre de l’équipe du service client, vous effectuez des analyses complexes de statique et de tolérance aux dommages pour les pièces métalliques tout en travaillant en étroite collaboration avec des collègues de conception pour fournir des solutions de réparation.
Les méthodes incluent l’utilisation à la fois de calculs manuels classiques et de techniques informatiques pour développer des solutions de réparation efficaces afin de satisfaire les exigences de navigabilité et les clients (compagnies aériennes/Maintient en condition opérationnel).

The A220 commercial aircraft Programme is looking for two (2) Engineering Specialists Stress, specialized in Metallic and composite Structures (f/m) to join our team based in Mirabel, Québec within the Customer Services department.
The In-Service structure Engineering department is in charge of providing efficient repair solutions to A220 customers.
You will be part of a team supporting the airline in-service fleet on repairs of aircraft structure and is responsible for justifications from a static stress point of view in a timely manner. As part of the Customer Service Team, you are performing complex static and damage tolerance analysis for metallic and composite parts while working in close collaboration with design colleagues to provide repair solutions. Methods include the use of both classical hand calculations and computer techniques to develop efficient repair solutions to satisfy airworthiness requirements and customers (Airlines/Maintenance Overhaul and repair).

Responsibilities:

  • Interact with a multidisciplinary team in the development of structural repair solutions;
  • Perform static strength and durability analyses for specific or generic structural metallic and composite repairs in support to the A220 fleet;
  • Support the completion of various A220 aircraft structural manuals such as Aircraft Structural Repair Publication (ASRP) and Aircraft Maintenance Publication (AMP);
  • Prepare or review stress analysis reports covering repairs or allowable damage limits to metallic structures and composites;
  • Present generic repair analyses to Transport Canada engineering team for concurrence.
  • Ensuring the A/C safety and airworthiness, reporting all unsafe conditions,
  • Coordinating proposed repair solution with other A220 actors and considering the implications of Airworthiness regulations, Materials and Processes, Aerodynamic effects and any other function as required,
  • Promoting and supporting continuous improvement and innovation initiatives of the Daily Repairs organisation through selected projects, providing added value to the A/C operator.
  • Delivering repair instructions in accordance with the relevant certification/airworthiness requirements and Airbus process and methods.
    This role may involve some travel for business and as such you must be able and willing to travel accordingly.
