Description:

JOB SUMMARY

Customer rating and quality performance tracking and reporting.
Statistical Process Control Analysis and reporting.
Production, standardization, reproduction and distribution of product criteria (PCs) and routers.
Configuration control of PCs and Routers.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES

Develops / maintains a high degree of competency, as quality analyst and MDM technician in the following areas:

  • Statistical process control
  • Documentation production, reproduction and tracking methodology
  • Computer-aided process for imaging & text.
  • Howmet quality system
  • ISO 9000, AS 9000 and D1-9000 standardsCustomer specifications and standards

EDUCATION REQUIRED

  • College degree in Science or the equivalent in a technical discipline and a good knowledge of statistical process control and document management computer related software.

Responsibilities:

DUTIES/RESPONSABILITIES

  • Ensures that customer rating and plant quality performance are collected, monitored, analyzed and reported periodically.
  • Plant quality performance – monthly tracking, analyzing and reporting , scrap, tags, NCRs and customer complaints.
  • Ensures monthly review, analyzing and reporting on key characteristics using SPC control techniques.
  • For dies where key characteristics have been defined and are collected for internal process control and/or as required by customers, analyze and process data and report results to engineering.
  • Ensures that production and staff personnel have required and up-to-date product criteria and routers required to perform their functions.
  • Production – track and coordinate write-up, updates, reviews and approval of product criteria, routers and associated forms.
  • Production – advise management as required on delay or difficulties in producing required PCs and routers
  • Production – maintain records of revision levels, authorizations and justification for changes
  • Maintain a log of temporary PCs, routers and forms while ensuring that permanent instructions are generated in a timely fashion.
  • Standardization – produce PCs, routers and associated form in-line with established standards.
  • Reproduction and distribution – reproduce and distribute necessary copies with appropriate usage identification; maintain distribution logs and records of distribution.
  • Maintain records of all changes and authorizations affecting PCs, routers and associated forms.
  • Ensures through effective distribution, updates and record keeping that stations and authorized users have copies of effective PCs, routers and associated forms.
  • Effective PCs, routers and associated forms are the latest and current documents approved for production of parts.
  • Performs other duties as required.
