EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Bachelor in Science or DEC in Production or relevant experience (10 years +)
  • CPIM certification an asset
  • Experience in a pharmaceutical environment or equivalent under cGMP regulation
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a supply chain role
  • In depth knowledge of the packaging lines (equipment)
  • Advanced computer and software skills
  • SAP or other ERP’s
  • Bilingual
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated initiative and innovation
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills

Responsibilities:

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

This position is responsible for the planning and scheduling of packaging in the Packaging Department Kirkland. The master scheduler is responsible to anticipate the build schedule for manufactured end products, short term and long term.
The master schedule is not a result of a sales forecast. It is a statement of a scheduled production as opposed to anticipated demand.
The master schedule takes into account both limitations in factory capacity and the need to utilize such capacity as fully as possible.
The master schedule indirectly determines the demands and related procurements schedules for all production components contained in the end items being produced

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Planning and scheduling of products in Packaging
  • Schedule packaging lines for efficiency, consideration given to: availability of filled products (including bulk) and equipment, inventory levels of semi-finished/ finished goods; drug importance, evolution of sales, requests from Marketing, length of runs.
  • Ensures that the capacity parameters in SAP and master list are updated and maintained accurately in conjunction with the Packaging supervisors.
  • Evaluate MRP & MPS
  • Overview & Maintenance of Process Orders in SAP, (create, release, add pertinent notes if any deviation occurred, TECO); including any rework orders
  • Planning / scheduling activities of new product introduction
  • Lead the weekly status meetings of products with all packaging department.
  • Actively participate in the monthly Sales & Operation meetings
  • Answer inquiries from Packaging and other personnel
  • Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures, ethical practices and adherence to relevant cGMP requirements and business regulations
  • Assist quality issue resolution in coordination with Quality and Packaging
  • Review and maintain Standard Operation Procedures linked to Planning
  • Participate in the development of Supply Management Team concept in coordination with Manufacturing, Quality, Planning and New Product Introduction
  • Handle special assignments as delegated
  • Backup to Documentation control coordinator for printing of production batch records.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned by Management.
