We are looking for an enthusiastic applicant to join the Crisis Resolution/Home Treatment Team (CRHTT) based at Neath Port Talbot Hospital, Swansea. The contract will be permanent and 10 sessions per week post is to commence on or soon after 17th August 2024.

This is a replacement post joining the team responsible for the provision of Adult Mental Health Services for Crisis Team. The advertised post covers the Adult Mental Health Crisis Team/Inpatient Admission wards.
The Health Board’s Adult Mental Health Services are divided into inpatient/crisis services (unscheduled care) and community services. There are three inpatient wards and two Crisis Resolution Home Treatment Service (one in Neath Port Talbot and one in Swansea), five Community Mental Health Teams (CMHT’s).
The CMHTs are multi professional with both Local Authority and Health Service Staff. The post-holder will be expected to work as part of a multi-disciplinary clinical team to ensure continuity of the care pathway from crisis/inpatient to community care.
Swansea Bay University NHS Health Board provides a broad range of community and inpatient services. The Health Board is one of the largest in Wales and the UK. The Mental Health Directorate is responsible for providing Adult Mental Health Services, Older People Mental Health Services, Substance Misuse Services, Forensic Psychiatry and Rehabilitation & Recovery Services.

Swansea Bay University Health Board has responsibility for the health of around 390,000 people in the Neath Port Talbot and Swansea areas, with a budget of around £1 billion and employing 12,500 people. We are a University Health Board working in partnership with Swansea University, Swansea School of Medicine, the School of Health Science and the Institute of Life Science. The HB has three major hospitals providing a range of services: Morriston and Singleton hospitals in Swansea and Neath Port Talbot hospital in Baglan, Port Talbot.
Mental Health and learning Disabilities services are provided both in hospital settings (Cefn Coed Hospital, Swansea Caswell clinic and Taith Newydd at Glanrhyd Bridgend) and other community settings.
We also have community hospital and primary care resource centres providing clinical services outside the main hospitals.
Swansea is Wales’ second-largest city, and sits on the five-mile sweep of Swansea Bay. An ideal base for exploring South-West Wales, there is also much on offer for visitors in Swansea itself. Swansea has a range of shops, cosy cafes, great restaurants, art galleries as well as being able to offer good outdoor lifestyle with its beautiful coastline and beaches on the Gower Peninsula. Swansea also has excellent sporting facilities including the Wales National pool and Swansea.com stadium home to the Ospreys and Swansea City Football Club.
