Description:

An opportunity has arisen within the Royal National Ear, Nose & Throat Hospital & Eastman Dental Hospital for sessional full or part time Specialty Doctor posts in Periodontology . The 11.5 PA equivalent posts are substantive and available to start immediately. It is based at the Royal National ENT& Eastman Dental Hospitals, part of the Specialist Hospitals Board of University College London hospital NHS Foundation Trust. Successful applicants will join an established team in providing a wide range of periodontal services including treatment, teaching and research. Applicants will be expected to be innovative in their thinking with a dynamic approach to patient care and training. They will be expected to have skills in routine and advanced management of periodontal patients including the provision of periodontal and implant surgery. The postholder will be expected to start to demonstrate teamwork, and management attributes including excellent communication skills.
University College London Hospitals is seeking to appoint a full time and/or part time Specialty Doctor in Periodontology or Restorative Dentistry with a specific interest in Periodontology starting with immediate effect. The individual will be dedicated to excellence in education and the provision of high-quality patient care and delivery of performance targets with a deep understanding and ability of managing patients and learners with of complex needs.
The post-holder will be expected to show drive and initiative towards patient care putting the patient first in line with the Trust core values. The post-holder will be expected to have a high level of knowledge and expertise in the field of Periodontology. The post-holder should demonstrate a high-quality approach to patient management. As the post-holder will be an integral part of the departmental team, the ability to lead and work as a team member is essential.
Participation in activities such as clinical effectiveness relating to patient management is essential as well as sharing in the administrative tasks in the Department and Division. The post holder will be expected to work closely with the Clinical Lead. The post-holder will be expected to undertake mandatory training in line with the requirements of the Department and the Trust.
It is anticipated that the successful candidates will take up their appointment at the earliest opportunity.
