We are now seeking to recruit a Specialty Doctor to join our Older Persons community mental health services on a full time or part time basis. We are really pleased that you are seeking a career at LPT, you will work in partnership with members of well-established multi-disciplinary teams, both operationally and strategically to drive forward innovation delivering the best effective care for our patients.
You will provide medical and psychiatric support to the Consultant Psychiatrists working in the service area and in the management of service users. The role will also involve working with other members of the multi-disciplinary team.

You will already have a minimum of 4 years’ experience at Core Training level or above, of which a minimum of two years will be in the relevant speciality, hold registration with the General Meical Council with a licence to pracitise and have/be eligible for approval under Section 12(2) of the Mental Health Act. Possession of MRCPych or equivalent is desirable. For those without MRCPsych training towards this will be supported, if desired. This is also a great opportunity for those who are working towards entry onto the Specialist Register via the Portfolio route.

The post holder will be required to work in partnership to provide initial assessment and treatment initiation where appropriate of patients referred to the service. The post holder will need to ensure that people who use services, carers and advocates are treated with respect and dignity
