This position reports to the Regional Sales Manager BioResp and will support the field-based selling efforts of Fasenra, an anti-IL5R biologic for the treatment of severe asthma covering Mississauga & New Brunswick.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
As a Specialty Sales Representative – BioResp, you will use your patient-centric and driven selling skills to support local and regional brand growth and bring value to customers through the effective promotion of scientific data and implementation of learning initiatives (that falls within AstraZeneca’s ethical guidelines). You become comfortable with ambiguity and can make sound business decisions based on data and inputs from various sources. You will collaborate with the Regional and National BioResp Team, with colleagues working on other AZ Respiratory brands, and cross-functionally to share insights and drive solutions that align to Fasenra’s strategic direction, as well as AZ’s values. You will also be responsible for collecting and reporting Adverse Events in accordance with AstraZeneca policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
- You have a consistent track record of truly understanding the needs of patients and customers to competitively position and sell your brand in a way that leads to a triple win (for the patient, for the customer/institution, and AZ). You exceed performance expectations because of your hard work and intrinsic aim to help patients.
- You are an early adopter and love to use all available resources and channels (face-to-face and digital) to create a seamless customer experience and move the business forward.
- You will collaborate both internally at AZ and externally with customers, and you pride yourself on being a clear communicator (verbal and written) to ensure that everyone agrees.
- You have demonstrated high self-awareness and a growth mindset where you love to learn from others, are open to new insights, and you react positively to challenges by looking for opportunities.
- A University degree preferably in Health Sciences or Business Administration.
- A minimum of 2 years of specialty pharmaceutical sales experience in Respirology, Biologics, Oncology, or rare diseases.
- Able to positively impact and influence others and quickly establish credibility while building strong business relationships.
- Experience engaging key influencers in sophisticated clinical environments, have built the strategy to improve treatment and implemented the strategy using planning and influencing.
- Well-organized with strong communication and business skills.
- A great teammate, able to work within a diverse, cross-functional team, you improve team cohesiveness and agility.
- A valid, non-probationary driver’s license.
